Working with words has been a theme throughout my professional career. As a former journalist and communications specialist (and lifelong compulsive reader), I have a well-honed ear for the English language.
Following my twenty-five years of professional experience, an exacting six-month mentorship with Editorial Arts Academy sharpened my skills in the principles and mechanics of trade book editing.
A day immersed in the fine detail of grammar, spelling, and syntax, and the big picture of rhythm, flow, and cadence is my idea of time well spent.
When I’m not copyediting, I love to read, hike in Vermont’s Green Mountains, and make pottery. I regularly travel to South Africa to visit family and enjoy the familiar rhythms of South African English.
